Brüninghaus is one of the most advanced crown cork manufacturing companies in the world. At our Versmold site, we ensure reliable delivery and consistently meet the high quality standards of leading brands in the food and beverage industry — steel the majority from Germany / EU, a certified ISO 9001 quality management system, and HACCP standards according to FSSC 22000.
1. Cutting
Steel sheets are unwound from steel rolls according to precise specifications – checked for quality and cut to size for further processing.
2. Coating
Steel sheets are lacquered on both sides. An adhesion laquer on the inside supports the sealing function. A base coat on the outer side protects against corrosion and ensure optimal adhesion of the printing ink.
3. Printing
After a multi-stage design coordination process, the crown corks are individually printed. They pass through the offset printing press in sheet format and getting the final overprint varnish.
4. Forming
During the punching and lining process the crown corks receive their typical, uniformly 21-point shape and the sealing compound. Automated 100 % inspections ensure quality.
